Like many of you, I imagine, I’ve been indoors a lot recently due to the Polar Vortex and -50 degree windchills. So I spent some time tidying up my new condo and my iPhoto library, and came across a collection of photos from my France trip last fall that I wanted to share with you.
Without further ado:
A square in Lyon |
Some sort of mysterious photo shoot, also in Lyon (ah, the French…) |
A bust at the Musée des Beaux Arts in Lyon… |
…And a larger-than-life painting |
Lyon’s fleet of sushi delivery bikes |
One of the painted buildings in Lyon – do you see Le Petit Prince? |
Stunning ceiling inside the Basilica of Notre Dame de Fourvière… |
…And a mosaic… |
…And a close up of another |
Ruins of the Roman ampitheatre in Lyon |
More Roman ruins at the Museum of Saint-Romain-en-Gal, in Vienne |
One of the many preserved mosaic floors inside |
And a mosaic from a wall |
Wall shards – I love the colors! |
Perhaps the best part – outside there was a bathroom! |
A hillside vineyard in Crozes-Hermitage |
The stunning view of Gordes |
A back street in Gordes |
Gordes |
Pretty jars of tomato sauce… |
…And preserves |
Tomatoes |
Various plums – I particularly liked the little ones front right, called mirabelles |
Sénanque Abbey near Gordes, with harvested lavender fields in front |
Back to our regularly scheduled programming next time. Stay warm!
